Key facts
·         Stage 1A was completed in a record-breaking 10 months with construction occurring 24 hours a day (at times), six days a week
·         Stage 1B of construction will expand the plant to incorporate additional volumes of water from wastewater plants at Oxley and Wacol
·         Two 20 tonne clarifier tanks were delivered to the site in July 2007, in one of the largest road transport operations in Queensland.  The tanks, which are 8 metres wide, 12 metres long and 6 metres high, took approximately 20 hours to move 20 kilometres from where they were constructed
·         Bundamba has achieved world’s best practice in safety with no lost time injuries during the one million hours worked in 10 months of construction

The plant has capacity to supply up to 20 megalitres a day of purified recycled water to Swanbank Power Station

·         More than 90 kilometres of electrical and instrumentation cables and more than 1,000 tonnes of structural steel have been installed
·         In a seven month period 18,000 cubic metres of concrete for building, tanks and other structures was poured
·         The switchroom and switchboards for the microfiltration/reverse osmosis building were constructed off-site which improved safety and reduced production time by four weeks.
